On Writing

Down for the Count. Again.

One Good Paragraph

Sometimes, we writers churn out a sentence, paragraph, or passage that we particular like or that strikes us a certain way. That happened to me yesterday and I thought, I like that! I think I'll share it! … Then, Maybe we should all consider sharing more snippets of our work to the wider world.

Spelling is Hard

More musings on the English language. In this second entry on the topic, we focus on the spelling trainwreck that is the English language.

Free and Open-Source Applications for Writers

Plenty of tools exist that support the writing process. Let me describe what works for me and how I use them.

The Space Between (sentences)

The argument for two spaces between sentences in modern writing is akin to refusing to turn off caps lock when texting or sending an email. Or to butcher Orwell, "One space good, two spaces bad."

I'm a Poet

You are a poet if you write poetry, but validation in the form of publication is a real treat. And guess what? I am now a published poet!
